OUR CHILDCARE PHILOSOPHY

Here at Bambini our philosophy is grounded in promoting your child’s interest in play-based learning and encouraging them to ‘seek out answers’.
We believe that harnessing a sense of community, connections and empathy are all key to raising socially aware young citizens of the world.

LIFE-LONG LEARNING

We strive to instil values of respect, kindness and self-worth, believing that children, families and educators co-exist together to achieve the common goal of life long learning.

We feel passionately about creating an environment for your child that is secure, stimulating and rich in aesthetics, with sensory rich indoor and outdoor environments that openly encourage expression, creativity and boundless exploration.

We believe in promoting and protecting our beautiful planet through sustainable practices.

All our centres take inspiration from the Reggio Emilia philosophy and whole-heartedly believe that building, then nurturing relationships and providing your child with the right opportunity to learn is at the heart of what we are here to do.

We embrace and nurture the cultural heritage of our native indigenous ancestors, and varying races that encompass our country’s landscape.

We believe:
  • That families are their child’s first educator.
  • That all families have valuable voices that will play an active part in the Bambini community.
  • That families should be encouraged to contribute and be regularly updated of their child’s progress and development.
  • That each family’s choice should be valued and respected acknowledging culture, spirituality, belief and faith.
We believe:
  • Children model what they see and feel.
  • We believe when they observe the close relationships between the educator and their parents, children learn a valuable lesson about life.
  • If the adults in their lives show cooperation, collaboration and respect, so will the children.

Our goal continues to be that your family, as part of our Bambini community, experience a sense of belonging and purpose in this journey. We know that working closely together must be constantly negotiated and nurtured and we endeavour to do so.

Loris Malaguzzi was the founder of the Reggio Emilia educational philosophy.

Bambini is inspired by the Reggio Emilia Approach

Reggio Emilia is a small town located in Northern Italy, where the beginnings of an inspirational education program was launched over 50 years ago, and continues today.

The Reggio Emilia approach is internationally known for its influences on the education and care of all children.

This learning has become a source of motivation for educators within the industry, to promote children’s development through experiences, which engages them to explore, discover, inspire, prompting young minds in their imagination, and challenging their thinking.

The Reggio Emilia Approach provokes a richness of learning in an environment that scaffolds children’s learning in play spaces to make their learning visible.

Loris Malaguzzi was the founder of the Reggio Emilia educational philosophy. In 1963, he began working with the cities administration on opening the first municipal schools. He had a vision to inspire young children, for lifelong learning.

Loris Malaguzzi wrote the inspiration the hundred languages poem that we connect with so much here at Bambini.

SOCIAL AWARENESS

We believe that ingraining a sense of community, connections and empathy are all key to raising socially aware young citizens of the world.

INVOLVEMENT IN OUR COMMUNITY

Our approach to giving back is quite simple, we know that we have the people power and energy to help others, so we do just that.

We embrace the uninhibited children’s imagination and curiosity that lead us to new opportunities in our local and global community we can support.

Giving the children power to come up with their own ways to engage and give back, builds a sense of leadership, empowerment and empathy alongside the ownership they have of completing these projects.

EMPOWERING SOCIALLY AWARE CHILDREN

Learning about the individual stories and roles of members of our community drives many questions and conversations amongst children.

We embrace the chance to engage ourselves in our community and collaborate with charities and local groups. Young children are in a stage of rapid development and are able to absorb mountains of new knowledge that interests them.

We branch into our community to provoke new learning opportunities as well as building knowledge about new people, animals and groups that require support.
